Looking for a dentist in Richmond who speaks Mandarin or Cantonese? At DTC Dental Treatment Center, a family dental clinic on No. 1 Road in Terra Nova, our team speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, English and Farsi. From the first phone call to the treatment plan, you or your parents can ask questions and hear the options in the language you're most comfortable with.
Why language matters at the dentist
- Clear options. Treatment is explained before we start, with a written estimate on request, so nothing is lost in translation.
- Seniors and families. Older parents can speak for themselves, and adult children who book for them can join the conversation in English.
- Comfort. Nervous patients often relax when they can ask questions in their own language. Oral sedation is also available, with an adult to bring you in and take you home.
How to book in Mandarin or Cantonese
- Call (604) 238-6666 and say which language you prefer (国语 / 粤语 / 國語 / 粵語).
- Tell us if you have insurance or the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
- We'll book you, or the whole family, often on the same day, including Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
CDCP for seniors and families
Many Chinese-speaking seniors in Richmond qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), often called “加拿大牙医保险” or “全民牙醫保險”. Once you're enrolled with the federal plan, bring your CDCP details to your first visit and we bill the plan directly. If something isn't fully covered, we tell you your share before treatment. The Government of Canada publishes CDCP information in Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
Family dentistry in your language
- Checkups and cleanings, children's dentistry, fillings, crowns and bridges
- Root canal treatment and same-day emergency visits Tuesday to Saturday when available
- Wisdom teeth removal, dental implants and dentures, with a written estimate first
- Invisalign clear aligners, teeth whitening and veneers
Fees follow the BC Dental Association fee guide with no markup, and we bill CDCP and most insurance plans directly.

Our dentists
- Dr. Sara Ghadiri: general and family dentistry, including root canal treatment.
- Dr. Michael Ho: graduated from the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Dentistry in 1991, where he also earned his master's and doctorate.
- Dr. Jason Park: UBC Dentistry graduate who focuses much of his practice on surgical dentistry, including wisdom teeth and implants.
