Short answer: at DTC Dental Treatment Center in Terra Nova, Richmond, every fee follows the BC Dental Association (BCDA) fee guide with no markup, including emergency and surgical care. We bill the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and most insurance plans directly, and you get a written estimate before treatment starts, so you know your share first.
The BC Dental Association publishes a fee guide that lists a suggested fee for each dental procedure code, from exams and x-rays to fillings, root canals and extractions. Insurance plans in BC usually base what they pay on it. Each dental office sets its own fees and can charge more than the guide. DTC charges the guide fee, with no markup.
What a visit costs depends on what you need: the exam, the x-rays your dentist recommends, how much cleaning (scaling) is needed, and any treatment. Instead of a price range that may not fit you, we look first and then give you a written estimate. Nothing starts without your OK.
We accept CDCP and bill the plan directly. Depending on your adjusted family net income, you either have no co-payment for covered services or pay a co-payment of 40% or 60%, as set by the Government of Canada. Some services need approval from the plan first. Before treatment we tell you what CDCP is expected to cover and whether anything is left for you to pay. How CDCP works at DTC
You pay the same BCDA fee guide rates as everyone else, with no hidden markups, and you can ask for a written estimate before any treatment.

No inflated emergency fees: emergency and surgical treatment follow the same fee guide. Emergency dentist in Richmond
