Missing a tooth, or several? DTC Dental Treatment Center in Terra Nova, Richmond plans and places dental implants, implant bridges and implant-supported dentures. Every case starts with an assessment and a written estimate, so you know which option suits your bone and bite, what it costs and how long it takes before you commit to anything.

Tooth replacement options we offer

  • Single implant: replaces one missing tooth without touching the healthy teeth on either side.
  • Implant bridge: restores several missing teeth across an arch.
  • Implant-supported dentures: dentures that clip onto implants for a far more stable fit.
  • Conventional bridge: a non-surgical option that anchors to the neighbouring teeth.
  • Implant crowns and abutments: the visible tooth on top, shade-matched to your own teeth.
  • Long-term maintenance: regular checks to keep the gum and bone around the implant healthy.

How implant treatment works

  1. Assessment. We check your bite and gums and use imaging to map the bone where the implant would go. That tells us whether an implant is straightforward, needs bone grafting first, or isn't the right option for you.
  2. Written estimate. You get the options, the cost and the timeline in writing before any treatment.
  3. Placement. The implant is placed under local anaesthetic. Most patients find it more comfortable than they expected.
  4. Healing. The implant fuses with the bone over a few months. A temporary tooth can cover the gap in the meantime.
  5. Final crown, bridge or denture. Once healed, the final restoration is attached.

Implant, bridge or denture?

An implant preserves the jawbone and leaves neighbouring teeth untouched, but involves surgery and takes months. A bridge is faster and avoids surgery, but the teeth on either side must be prepared. A partial denture is the least invasive option and is removable. There is no single right answer: it depends on your bone, your bite, your budget and how permanent you want it to feel. We lay out all three options honestly.

Cost, insurance and CDCP

The cost depends on how many teeth are involved, whether bone grafting is needed and what goes on top. Our fees follow the BC Dental Association fee guide with no markup, and you get a written estimate before you decide. Insurance coverage for implants varies and is often partial; we check what your plan is expected to cover, including CDCP eligibility, and bill your provider directly.

Nervous about surgery?

Tell us when you book. Each stage is explained before we start and we work at your pace. Oral sedation is available for anxious patients; if you choose it, a responsible adult must bring you in and take you home, and you can't drive that day.
